As Richard has discussed in his blog, there’s an online test you can take at www.whoshouldyouvotefor.com which based on a number of questions will work out which of the parties is mostly aligned with your views. My results (below) were unsurprising…

Labour 4 |
Conservative -29 |

Liberal Democrat 36 |
UK Independence Party -6 |

Green 16 |
You should vote: Liberal Democrat
The LibDems take a strong stand against tax cuts and a strong one in favour of public services: they would make long-term residential care for the elderly free across the UK, and scrap university tuition fees. They are in favour of a ban on smoking in public places, but would relax laws on cannabis. They propose to change vehicle taxation to be based on usage rather than ownership.

I tell you what, this being a company Director thing doesn’t half keep you busy. If it’s not driving all over the place to have meetings with potential partners, it’s working hard on the development side of things. Chris and Georgia are equally frazzled. I’m tired, but I’m still enjoying the challenges. I am looking forward to having a holiday though; given my current schedule I think I can have a week off sometime in late 2006. That’ll be nice.
Google have expanded their mapping pages to support the UK, very cool. I love the way that any popups or pushpins cast a shadow on the map. Swish.

I spoke to my friend Tom last night (who in my head is still “tag196″) and he pointed out that it’s a while since I’d blogged anything. It’s also a while since I’ve seen Tom (who lives in Southampton) in real life, which is quite lazy of me - something I’ll address now that I’m living in Winchester.
That’s right, I left Basingstoke at the end of March, and since I don’t move into my new place in Winchester until the 4th May (due to a huge letting agency balls-up) I’m currently imposing on Chris and Georgia’s good nature and crashing in their spare room for a few weeks. So my life is all over the place at the moment: Locutio is proceeding nicely, with lots of interesting meetings with resellers, manufacturers and other useful industry contacts, my worldy possessions are in storage spread throughout most of Hampshire, and I’m living in other people’s houses for the duration. So much is changing at the moment, but it’s all good.
Since all my hardware is homeless along with me it means my TiVo is back in a box and not recording all the TV it should be - I’ve come to rely on the kindness of strangers to capture and encode the shows I miss - Doctor Who is a prime example, I’ve caught every episode of the new series via BitTorrent rather than on the BBC.
*ANY*way, I am still alive, just a little frazzled at the moment. What day is it again?
