Well, we did it. It’s been a very busy 6 months, but we launched a new site, a new product - hell, a new concept this weekend.
VoiceSkins.com is a new site where you can download replacement voices for your GPS. If you’re fed up of the built in lady telling you where to go, you can replace her with Sharon Osbourne. Or C3P0, or KITT, or… plenty of others. We’ve also developed software to make changing the voices much easier.
It’s been less than a week and already we’re the number 1 hit in Google for VoiceSkins and have been described as “A real cool bit of ingenuity.”
To those of you who helped make it happen (and you all know who you are) you am de best. Thank you!

In case you hadn’t realised, Sabot is one of the guys I work with, current project has been involved in rolling out PDA’s to loads of our mobile staff, including systems running a customised TomTom that allows our engineers to find the right pylon or substation. Not sure if he’ll manage to persuade our management that our staff will be more efficient with Kitt directing them to a job…
